In paediatrics, a common practice which is rapidly growing is the aggressive promotion of “nutraceutical” and “therapeutic” formulas – imported and very expensive.
The indiscriminate “pathologization” of normal phenomena in young infants (less than 3 months of age) and their apparent cure with hypoallergenic formulas is currently a dominant strategy.
